2:10-3:10pm (Acadia B): Student Symposium

Please join our Student Initiatives Committee as well as our distinguished panelists as we discuss the trials and tribulations of teaching when transitioning to a faculty member. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from new and experienced faculty members as they give advice on how to avoid common mistakes and adapt to your new role.

5:30-8:00pm (The Split Crow Pub, 1855 Granville St): Student Social

Come out to enjoy free appetizers and Happy Hour specials with fellow NASSM student members before heading off for a night on the town.

Student-Faculty Mentor Initiative

The Student-Faculty Mentor Initiative gives students a chance to pair up with a faculty member outside of their own department or university to discuss career advice, research opportunities, or other topics. There is no set time allotted for meetings, but we encourage you to schedule time to meet with your mentor during the conference!
